DATA CENTER PARTNERS

Strategic Alliance for the Future of State-of-the-Art Data Centers

February 24, 2025

DC-Datacenter-Group GmbH Family (DCG) acquires shares in DCP Data Center Partners GmbH (DCP)

Wallmenroth (Germany), 24.02.2025 – With the majority acquisition of shares by shareholder MVV Enamic GmbH, DCP will become a sister company of DCG.

This merger emphasizes DCG’s commitment to the future and its position as a leading provider of sustainable and highly secure data centers. This strategic step highlights the company’s goal of offering its customers the entire project lifecycle of innovative data centers from a single source – from site selection to data center operation.

With DCP as a new sister company, DCG expands its value chain with an essential component: project development. The complementary skills of both companies ensure a seamless connection between project development, planning, construction, services, and operation of modern and high-performance data centers of the future.

A Consistent Step in a Dynnamic Market

The demand for powerful and sustainable data centers is rapidly increasing. Driven by the growing use of technologies such as Artificial Intelligence (AI), High-Performance Computing (HPC), and cloud services, companies need increasingly flexible, energy-efficient, and scalable solutions.

“The addition of DCP to our portfolio is a logical step to meet the dynamic and ever-growing demands of the market,” says Ralf Siefen, founder, CEO, and Chairman of the Management Board of DCG. “We can now cover the entire spectrum of data center development and implementation in a customer-oriented manner, providing comprehensive and sustainable solutions – from the initial idea to successful implementation and even data center operation.”

According to Dr. Ferdinand Höfer, Managing Director of shareholder MVV Enamic GmbH, this merger represents the logical response to market developments: “DCG, with its expertise from 20 years of success, continues on a path to further growth. The past fiscal year 2024 marks the most successful year in a row, and DCG is steadily expanding in terms of size and revenue. We are pleased to have gained a strong project developer with DCP to complete the Data Center portfolio.”

Benefits for Customers, Investors, Operators and Partners

With this expanded setup, everyone benefits from the comprehensive combination of experience in the data center market and maximum innovation, sustainability, and efficiency. By complementing each other’s competencies, projects can be implemented faster and more focused, as all critical steps are coordinated under one roof.

“This collaboration strengthens our position as a holistic provider,” explains Dr. Christopher Stief, founder and CEO of DCP. “We provide the foundation to offer our customers comprehensive and future-proof solutions from the initial idea to successful implementation – with the highest time and cost efficiency. Together, we can not only develop innovative technologies but also optimize processes and set new standards for sustainability.”

“For customers, this means shorter project timelines, fewer interchange losses, and greater planning security. Additionally, they benefit from future-oriented concepts tailored specifically to the requirements of modern IT infrastructures,” adds Ralf Siefen.

A Strong Partnership with Vision

This strategic partnership is more than just a business decision. It reflects the shared vision of DCG and DCP to drive innovation in the data center market and set forward-looking benchmarks.

The combination of DCG’s long-standing success story, celebrating its 20th anniversary this year, and DCP’s specialized expertise creates a strong alliance that emphasizes technological innovation, sustainability, and economic efficiency. The joint focus on future-proof, environmentally friendly data centers addresses the urgent needs of a digitalized world.

“Customers and data center operators in the market are looking for more than just a provider – they seek a strategic partner who will accompany them throughout the entire project,” says Siefen. “With this partnership, we can fulfill this role more strongly than ever before.”

The Significance of this Step

The increasing digitalization, the need to reduce environmental impact, and the demand for reliable, scalable data center solutions make this step crucial for both companies and their customers. This cooperation highlights the shared mission not only to meet the technological challenges of the present but also to actively shape the future.
